Dissatisfaction calls for further improvement.
Defeatism calls for emigration.

Like how you resent imigrants who settle in your land,

Such arrogance only shows great naivety.

Such an individual is the epitome of cowardice, defeatism and betrayal towards the state.

I am morally against the tradition of giving red packets during the lunar new year.

Rationale:
At its core, the custom is communist.
It is the diffusion of finances at a micro-level.
The rich give red packets with greater value, the poor give red packets with lower value.
Albeit unintentionally, the practise leads the commune's economy towards an equilibrium.

Such a communal practise is against meritocracy, and meritocracy is a concept that I strongly stand by.

Therefore I am morally against red packets and will refuse any next year.

PS:
Why do we always assume that those richer than us attain their wealth through dubious and unlawful means?
Or that in essence they do not deserve their riches?

Why do we feel compelled to judge their charactor as being flawed and unethical?
Or that in person they would be obnoxious elitists?

Would we not be condemning ourselves to a lesser morality by imposing such stereotypical and unfounded judgement upon others with greater luxuries?

Would we rather drag others down, than strive to hoist ourselves up?

Why do bands post their songs up on myspace and ask for feedback?
Well, maybe not yours', but mine does.

Since when does art need feedback anyway?
I understand the necessary criticism if the flaw lies with the lack of skill on the musician's part, but what if the song itself is fine?

You're supposed to express yourself. Yourself, your own preferences, style, views, feelings.
Why would you give a fork about what others thought?
That's the entertainer's job, not the artists'; to conform to the audience's expectations.

And wouldn't shifting your style in music in accordance to 'constructive criticism' be a form of comercialisation?
A.K.A. Selling out?

Take pride in what you do - your own creations.

What perverse sense of self-righteousness compels you to deem all that are less of age than you to be inferior to you?

To be shoved around and categorised just for your own convenience?

What lack of moral judgement do you have, to force a code of uniform upon them?
To shape their minds to a standard model.
To assume that every one is equal and should therefore be equal in appearance as well.

Or is it delibrate?
To breed a generation of oppressed youth just so that they will learn to detest the policies of Marxism?

Or should we do otherwise?
And breed a generation of free youth, so that they will learn to appreciate freedom and democracy?

Can we not learn to acheive positivity, instead of learning to avoid negativity?

Half of our memories are etched in the physical world.

Things, places, people.
All that have disappeared one by one as time goes by.
Mostly gone to make way for the new.
With every passing, taking along with it a piece of our memory.

A little reminder of how we used to think as kids.
Of problems that we dealt.
Of the hatred that we held, and the love that we felt.

Everything changes.
My perception will change.
Do I want it to?
Do I not have a choice?
Do I even care?

The fact that almost everything is just a phase doesn't really take away the intrinsic value from it, does it?
Life itself is just a phase.
A phase in the vast eternity that is the-incomprehensible-nature-of-the-universe.
Doesn't mean we can't appreciate it.
Doesn't mean we can't value it.
